Newborn prep guide

Hi lovely,

i am super excited for our upcoming session.

I have prepared some information for you below which will help things run as smooth as possible during our time together. It is a long read, but i cannot stress the importance of reading it as it will assist you in getting the very most out of your session with me.

The address to my studio is 16 Trelawney Crescent, Huntfield Heights SA. (We are hidden in the corner with the big tree and green roof)

It is important you arrive to your shoot on time as sometimes i need to schedule more than 1 session in the day. It may be helpful to get directions sorted the night before and calculate the time you will need to leave keeping in mind road works and morning traffic if you are travelling from the other side of the city.

If for some reason you are running late it is important you let me know.

I know just how tricky it can be sometimes to get out the door especially with a newborn.

Planning ahead the night before can really help. Some things you could do the night before to help:

- Pack babies nappy bag

- Set out babies clothes on the table with a fresh nappy ready to go

- Pack a bag with snacks and entertainment for siblings (where possible

i would recommend ‘clean snacks’ to avoid an accidental chocolate

stained top mid session)

- Lay out your clothes ready to go

Being organised the night before will help you have an easier start to

your morning and hopefully feel a little less stressed and rushed to get

out the door.

I usually start my sessions with different poses of your newborn and

then will bring the family in later. If you have young siblings and want to

do them first with the newborn that is totally fine, we can start with

them and then they can go for a walk or play outside while we

continue. There is a park 300m at the end of our street also.

Sometimes they may get tired of sitting in my small studio for a while.
